These are experimental editorial rules, not a trained model. We start at 100 and subtract 2.4 points per degree outside 65–82°F, 2 per mph above 10 mph, 0.65 per rain-chance point, and 1.4 per gust mph above 20. Feels-like temperature replaces air temperature when available. Half of a window’s rating comes from its average hour, half from its lowest-rated hour. Storm or wintry wording, or feels-like temperatures at or above 100°F or at or below 20°F, cap the window at Plan B weather. Great fit starts at 80, good fit at 65, and mixed bag at 45. Scores are comfort comparisons, not safety clearance.
