Standard district K-12 calendar. Preschool, Wilson Focus, and alternative programs may have separate schedules; consult the school. Grade-specific exceptions listed below do not mean the whole district is off.

These bands summarize forecast snow, ice, wind chill, and gusts. They do not predict a district’s decision, and low weather risk is not a promise of normal school. Days farther out are less settled.
We use an approximate district-area point, not individual bus routes. The weather window runs from 6 p.m. the evening before through 6 p.m. on the displayed day, Central time. Incomplete or older forecasts are labeled rather than treated as safe conditions.
How this first version works
Weather to watch: at least 1 inch of snow, 0.01 inch of ice, wind chill at or below 0°F, or gusts of 35 mph. Elevated: at least 4 inches of snow, 0.10 inch of ice, wind chill at or below −15°F, or gusts of 50 mph. These are provisional ONE weather signals, not district closing policies.
Road conditions, storm-track probabilities, thunderstorms, flooding, and district decision history are not scored yet. Official NWS alerts and forecasts remain available on the weather homepage. School calendars require staff verification. Cancellation percentages will be added only after validation against documented outcomes.
